Enterprises are an integral part of the research, development and innovation system and their research activities are supported by a range of instruments, including domestic programmes, EU structural and investment funds, the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation and other European programmes. The aim of the presented poster, created by TC Prague analysts, is to present the involvement of Czech enterprises in EU Framework Programmes and thus contribute to the monitoring and evaluation of the Czech Republic‘s participation in Framework Programmes. For the first third of the Horizon Europe programme as of 26 October 2023, the Czech Republic reported 219 business participations claiming a net EU contribution of €80 million. This is the 19th highest net EU contribution claimed by enterprises. The Czech Republic thus holds its long-standing position – in the 7th Framework Programme (2007-2013) it reported the 20th highest EU contribution to business participants (€78 million), in Horizon 2020 (2014-2020) the 21st highest (€126 million).
